I'm going to be in Germany for the Frankfurt Bookfair, so the Saturday Sangha will be taking a break for most of this month. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone when we meet again on October 31, and until then I hope you are all well and happy....
The Saturday Sangha will not be meeting this Saturday (8-15) or next(8-22).

Thanks for your memo. My family and I are well. Thank you. It must have been beautiful with lanterns. I used to go to Chogye Sa on the Buddha's Birthday when I was young.
In Hong Kong I used to go to an Anglican Church for 10 years. I am not too sure about Buddhist ceremony in Hong Kong. And ironically I was in Bangkok on this year's Buddha's birthday.
For software programs I am afraid to tell you that I am not familiar with them. And regarding 禪宗永嘉集. I do not know the book. But I searched it on the internet and I found some good websites in both Chinese and Korean. It looks very interesting and definitely worthwhile to try translating it into English. Of course I will have to get books first. And I will have to know which book would like to choose to translate it. It seems that there are several different versions. And I would like to read it in Chinese too, as it is written in Chinese originally.
Even though I think it's worthwhile for me to try translating it I have to know when you want the translation to be completed. And I will definitely need your help in defining English expressions of Buddhistic terminologies and even understanding of the text.
Otherwise I would like to try it. It will be a good study for me.

I got back to Hong Kong a week ago. I live here.
Would it be difficult to do translation work here in Hong Kong? It won't be as easy as doing it in Korea as I can get references easily there. But it isn't impossible especially as we can easily get access to browse reference on the web.

This is Aejin. I used to see you at the Buddhist English Library in Seoul while I was staying there. I left a message to Marcus saying that I would be very happy to be of any help in Buddhist translation work and he gave me a link; that lead me to you.
Although I don't live in Seoul, but maybe because of that reason I need a connection to Korean Buddhism more, I would like to be involved in the work. I used to translate English spoken dharma talks into Korean while I was staying in Seoul. I enjoyed the work very much and I would say the work itself taught me tremendously.
If there is anything at all I can be of help I will be very happy to be part of the work.
